Description
Metriopelma variegata is a species of tarantula that belongs to the Theraphosidae family. It has a brown cephalothorax that is slightly longer than it is round, with a narrow forehead. The sternum is covered with hair and is longer than it is wide, with slight cuts on the sides. The chelicerae are shiny and reddish, and are covered with thick hairs. The abdomen is oval, longer than the cephalothorax, and is dark brown and hairy. The legs are sturdy and covered with hair, with two small tarsal claws that are reddish and retractile.
Metriopelma variegata is native to Venezuela.
